Nikki van der Velden, editor of Dutch Photography magazine, is the first Dutch photographer who exhibits on the iPad. Until January 11, her portrait series "NYC Connected 'can be admired with the free app iPad TechFish, where the screen rotate pictures on the background of the app.
The 42 portraits were made in October 2010 in New York and are part of the series "American Heroes" which will be exhibited in December 9, 2010 until January 16, 2011 at The House of Rising in Amsterdam. Nikki van der Velden: "I am fascinated by people and their stories. At all the photographs in NYC Connected people made rings, twittered, facebooked or texting. That makes curious, although it stays guessing which story is told. Let it especially to your own interpretation."
